Jennifer Anderson is an artist and architect who works in Toronto. She studied architecture at the University of Waterloo, completing terms in both Rome and Helsinki. Her thesis work explored the emotional impact on light within the built environment, specifically through architectural emulation of natural forms.

Architectural practice led to interest in studies of the human figure. Oil painting provided a method to investigate light and colour in context of the body.

Jennifer started part time studies at the Toronto School of Art in 2001. She studied life painting under Tom Campbell, Gillian Iles, Daniel Hughes, Paul Turner and Megan Williams. After taking a short break to start her family in 2006, she continues to study part time at TSA and explore her desire to capture life in her paintings.
